About Lee Perkins:
If there's something that you want to know about Andrea, call the show in the morning, I'll tell you everything I know!
As a kid I often thought about radio and could hardly wait for my father to come home from work... just so I could sit in the car and listen to the radio stations in Los Angeles and San Francisco! I was bitten by the radio bug in high school - during the school lunch hour you'd hear me imitiating my favorite deejays! Then, one of the local radio station owners took it upon himself to mentor me in this business - and I've never looked back! In 1976, after a year of overnights, I was drafted to do the afternoon drive shift. The ratings shot through the roof and the station dominated the ratings during the 70's and 80's.and that started a successful career of which I am very proud.
During the 90's, I worked all over the bay area radio market: smooth jazz, oldies and adult contemporary stations, R&B and classic soul. I try to keep a smile on my face and have fun - who knows how long we have on this earth! |

About Andrea Gomez:
I was born in Mexico where I shot to fame on Mexican soap operas. I decided I wanted to go international so I came to the states and now I'm a huge star... wait... that's Salma Hayek.
Let's try again
I grew up in a family where my five brothers were superstars so I decided to take a stab at it... oops... that's not me either.
I'm really from the Sac-town area, and if you ever cruised Franklin Blvd. back in the day, you’d be sure to run into me.
Ok, ok, here's my real story. But it won't be as good as those others!!
I grew up in the Sacramento Area, was the last of five and watched everyone go off to work. That’s when I knew I didn't want a real job. Enter radio. I'm not going to lie. I think I've had every job imaginable: waitress, pbx operator, nursing, state worker... but radio always called so here I am. I started out in Sacramento at KSFM-102.5 and then middays at KBMB-The Bomb. I got married (again!!) in May of 2004, so not only do I have my two kids, but now I have my husband's three, plus the cat, and the dog. Let me give you some advice: no matter how you try and try there is no way to look cool in a mini van, so I've stopped trying. I still cruise Franklin though! |
